Hello all,

I have a 2016 SDV6. I have been offered a US trailer hitch with the square receiver, originally off a US LR4.

It looks really simple to fit, but as I'm not at home right now I can't check the chassis of my Disco to see if the holes are there / the same to mount it. Does anyone know if these US 2" receiver hitches are compatible (fitting wise) to the UK chassis?

Thanks

If its anything like our 2011 L322 (it probably is) all the holes will be there to fit.
It looks simple but I bet you have to remove the bumper ;)

Pretty sure the square hitch size is ok, but would only question you check the size of the ball (if you are in the UK)

But we dont know where you are do we?
But welcome anyway:).

Thanks J,

And fair point - i've posted a short intro now. Currently in the US but back to Scotland in the summer (hence the opportunity to bring back one of these receivers). And yep, the ball sizes here are 'different'.

Cheers

I recall a discussion on the disco 2 boys club a few years ago about receiver hitches not being type approved for the UK. If this is true, with the disco 4 being much newer it might also not be approved. Probably not an issue unless you have an accident and it is picked up.

Must confess I also thought the square hitches were illegal in the uk , also looked at the laws with regards to licences
