welle earlier i popped to halfrauds to get some oil, fuel filter and oil filter for a service but now i think ive got the wrong oil. my manual says 15w40 and halfords has 3 types. theres one for diesel engines but has to be non turbo, so that one was out. the other 2 were the blue n purple ones. blue being enhanced mineral and the purple being this one Halfords 15W/40 Part Synthetic Oil 5L from Halfords Price £16.99

i brought the purple one but now im not sure its right. it says for non fuel injected engines and so does the blue enhanced mineral one but isnt a 200tdi fuel injected.

please help as i will pop back to halfords quickly if i have the wrong one.

cheers james

Don't waste yer munny in Halfrauds.
Git yerself down to yer local farmers merchants and buy some Ovoline Tractor Universal Engine Oil. It's tip top quality oil, just packaged and marketed for farmers. Less than half the price and better quality.

what viscosity is that may i ask? i think they mite sell that in countrywide so may give them a try. i use them alot for outdoor clothing etc

Dont bother paying over the top at Halfrauds mate

Like Trewey says get cheap oil .......... it all has to pass the same standard tests ....... just not sold in fancy bottles ;)

well my brother is in the motorsport industry working for force india formula one team so i used his halfords trade card which saved me £18 which was quite good. bought 10 litres of oil, oil filter and fuel filter. i will give coutrywide a try on monday, thanks for the advice
