New battery orderd, i opted for the biggest my supplyer had (a stonking 150 amp) i noticed the alternator is a crapy 95amp sooo i thought id upgrade that to a 120 amp alty... that should end my troubles lol (tiill next time) i DONT understand why landrover fittted such a small alty to a car that uses alot of power, unless thats landrovers way of making sure they get more buissnes when they play tricks like ive just had once again chaps thank you.:clap2::clap2::cheer2:

just a little note to readers of this thread in the furture, i have found that often when little electrical issues come up its hand to input the eka, it doesnt seem like its doing anything but it does clear some stuff, without the need to disconnect the battery. its always worth a try.

syncing the key from time to time helps too.

also i would recommend everyone backs up the earth strap with a more robust connection directly to the engine.

the original earth has a clamp part way down it to the body and mine was all green and need cleaning.

and also remember on petrols not to jump it straight to the battery, i use the bolt/clamp that holds the battery down as its a fair way from the battery in terms of its electrical connection!!

MIKE v.t.s.

Thank you for coming back and telling us the end result. So many threads on here just peter out without us ever finding out if the fault was cured.

VERY FRUSTRATING!
