I did try some better bulbs and uprated the wiring, It was a big improvement, the lights were good on dry roads but not very good when it was wet, I also tried some higher wattage bulbs (150w illegal) ,not much better and one headlight cracked going through floods, not sure if it was the extra heat or not.

grill fits straight in same screws an orl, indicators same size just hold in differant this can be done differant ways not hard tho
i changed mine because one light has a hole in the chrome part from rust and was looking like £40 for a replacment got all 300 parts for £50 but didnt know if they fitted till i tried
Well I now have better lights, ended up using what I think are early td5 lights,with 300 grill, indicators and that daft plastic trim that goes under the lights. It was quite easy once I'd measured where the adjusters go, had to cut the bigger holes for the lights with the grinder as I'd left most of my tools at a mates :doh:, the trim was the wrong colour so I found a can of satin black 
,doesen't look quite right some how, looks a bit new but once it's done a few lanes and seen a bit of mud it should blend in.
Took it out last night, had to drive about eight mile to find a good wall to set the beams,it's all hedge's around here but the lights are great well worth doing, I'll try and get some pics on later.

thats good are they the ones with the black bit inside?
