Same here, couple of get offs over the years, ground down the left knee sliding along the road in 1984, then battered it again against a kerb high siding then proper battered it in an industrial fall from height. Locks up when I knell for longer than a minute then mucho pain when I try to stand and straighten my leg again. Back pain and sciatic stuff just for good measure to add to the mix too.That looks fab. The nuts will be the last thing to do on each side, glad I undid them before I took the wheels off. The inside of the hub housing that covers the abs ring was pretty rusty.
I suffer with a lot of joint pain if I over do it, knees are knackered from years of biking in all weather's.

I always said if I was ever lucky enough to be in a position to own a nice detached property, with an integral double garage,I've got the work trousers with the knee pad inserts, but it's the actual knee bent for anything over 30 secs that hurts me, 10mins and its too much to bear and I have to roll on my side, slowly straighten my legs and gradually get off the floor with colourful language. Chopping out and soldering the big white connectors in the kick panels took me 3 days, could only do a few minutes at a time.
I've got a pit now which helps a lot on some jobs, really wanted a lift but the council wouldn't let me build the garage that high.
My first thought is glue again for speed and nowt to lose. More permanent, a piece of thin angle drilled and machine screwed to the tangs and through the lamp body, or pop rivets instead of screws or glue the angle to the body only screw to the lugs. I would hate screw heads showing though.Finished the drivers side yesterday before it got to hot. Putting the ball joints in the freezer was a good tip Just got to change the oil in the diff and road test.
Got some knee pads for my work trousers made it a bit easier.
Also found the interior light hanging from the roof, looks like it had been glued in place and the glue had melted. Not going back in unless anyone has a fix? View attachment 269130
Cheap enough to get another one from a breaker.I have had a look and have a thin bit of angle, if I do the two that sit over the map lights can hide the screws or pop rivets. It's only got three of the lugs but that should be enough.
