Well over the past week i,ve been up to Scotland and around seeing family and friends. Ma wee 90 is a top little toy and the 500 miles i,ve done this week shes never missed a abeat!

Problem is i really need 4 doors as were down sizing the other motor (a4avant - to - a polo).

I thought hard originaly about a 110 when i bought the 90, but i need the space and the seats.

For the money i want to spend i,m after an other 300tdi but a late plate, but for the same money i can have a younger TD5.

Question is , should i pursue the 300tdi route , there bullet proof and a doddle to work on enegine wise, but older vehicle means potentially more issues or hidden history.

Td5 has the more complicated engine with regards to electrics and Ecu,s, but for my money it would be younger and with less miles!

Now i know there is many threads in relation to this but i,m after simple advice , if you had the money what would you go for, 300tdi or td5?

I,m standing by for abuse but since i,ve joined this site all the banter has made it the more enjoyable!

td5, once you understand how it works, there great

For that sort of money, you could get a nice V8, maybe around the 89 year (saw a nice brown and beige one advertised recently) and spend the rest on fuel...

No electrics, fair power, HUGE smile (between refuelling). Good times.

300tdi's are more expensive for a good reason, you answered your own question.

aye i know but got to ask the lads that own these vehicles and live wea them daily.

pricey like but i'll be holding onto it for some time!
