Hi just a update my
Range Rover V8 Diesel
November 2006 in Black
Well it all started in March 2009 when the engine decided to Part Company with one off its con rods
Since then we only get to see it on days when Range Rover wants their lone car back
This time has been the longest time off the road two months and one week it came back on a Friday last week and I am sitting hear waiting for Land Rover assistance to pick it up
We have even had Land Rover engineers down to look at it but they can’t fix it
So it is off to a different dealer it likes going to different place I suppose it gets bored sitting at the same place
Land rover cear well there the funniest people I have ever met they think there doing you a favour when they lend you Free Lander 2 in place of a RR
I think it is time to get a Toyota

No mechanics these days mate just computor jockies. If you gave them a diff, gearbox or engine to rebuild they would stand there scratching their heads looking where to plug the Rovocom in. Bloody useless.

You’re Right
They have told me that they can only work with DTi codes
I am thinking of going to the press as I have had my fill of Land Rover

can you not claim for loss of enjoyment of the vehicle, after all you bought a rangie for a reason. its obviously not up to the fundamental job of a car and thats moving under its own power!!

they are wasting more time and energy fannying around rather than paying for a good independant to sort it, the kind with good experience of these cars!

Well a new update
We she went to Cardiff stratstones last week (Thursday)
Had a phone call today to say there was a Turbo pipe split and it is back on song
They’re going to road test it tomorrow and let me know if the fuel con is up
Will let you all know tomorrow

Hi to you all
Well the story has come to an End
It all started in March when she didn’t like one off her con rods
It went to Yeovil Land Rover 3 Weeks Later They decided it was an injector
So we moved it to Roger Yong in salt ash they put a new Engine in (April)
It came back and Fuel leaking from split injector pipes went back to RY
It has spent most of the time in their we only got to see it when they wanted somebody to put fuel in it and be a Ginny pig
They even had some idiot from Land Rover TEC and he didn’t find it
So we where the Ginny pigs so when it did it this time she went to Stratstone Cardiff last Thursday they looked at it on Friday ordered the part (Turbo pipe) fitted it on Monday extended road test Monday Tusday and it is on its way home
She is doing 26 mpg at last
So the motto is if you are in the West Country Don’t go Near Your Local dealers go to Cardiff for peace of mind their NOT Muppets
And I say to them THANK YOU
