Ok sorted the backfire put a new coil pack on and it stopped as for the emission pipes it helps if I put the plenum chamber on the right way round spun that through 180 degrees answer blow me down all the pipes have somewhere to go. Who would have thought!!!
Took the door card off the rear door and fired wd 40 at the latch and handle bits. I noticed that inside the door attached to the front of the handle there is a plastic set up that moves when the handle is pulled so I plastered that with wd40 as well and it seems to have cured the problem.
Thanks for all your input to the above problems much appreciated.
We all know that the boot of a range rover is quite large but mine is filling up with a substantial amount of tool boxes. Question.
What tools do you suggest to carry to enable me to get it going after a usual breakdown. I won't accept AA man or folding bicycle. Cheers.
