the engine ecu which has the ems code is located in the black housing behind the battery, may be worth giving the connections a check and clean cant do any harm.

Probably am in a couple of weeks but I don't have the doozle license on my nanocom so doubt I'd be any help.
I'm assuming for syncing it would need to be able to read the engine ecu?

Yes but I was hoping to rule out a dodgy ODB socket. Once that is good a kicker should sort it. I think he's now planning on sending them off to Marty or Rick so should be sorted soon.

OK, I'll probably be passing in a couple of weeks so if not sorted, I could bob in and see if I can talk to the BECM etc.

I’ve sent the becm and ecu off to marty on the forum he’s messaged me today saying it was out of sync he’s done it now so hoping it’s done the trick

Right, while you're waiting get under the glove box and squirt electrical contact cleaner all over the ODB socket. Might be worth taking it off and checking he back for green too. With a working ODB socket a syncmate should work.

Is @martyuk disabling passive immobilisation? MIne's never gone out of sync since I disabled it.

Had becm and ecu back today put it on with a fully charged battery it fired straight up so really happy with that thanks Marty too msn top service

Marty and Rick the pick are the proper gurus when it comes to electrics on these. If they can't fix it then it's time to give up!

Glad it's all back, together, and running!

I don't know if you noticed, but I've written the EMS code on the ECU, should it be required in the future.

I've just read the start of the thread & Out of sync was screaming at me, & it took two pages & god know's how many posts to get to the end of it.

Martyn, you're clearly slacking.

Who, me? I'm Martin with an i, not a y.

I did resync it - it screamed to me of sync too (the first thing I mentioned in my first post?). When it came to me, 10 minutes on the bench and it was sorted...

Slacking... well, I've just been out of the country working for 3 weeks, and about to head away tomorrow for another 2 weeks work, but I did manage to get this sorted and sent back nearly a month ago before I went...? so don't quite see how that's slacking...
