So had an electrician come out and he has found the fault as the rail pressure whilst using the diagnostic machine (p0191 and also p0001). He also checked if the engine was turning over (I can’t remember the exact term) and it was cranking…. But the rail pressure just stayed at 2 or 3. Do you have any idea how I can fix this…. It’s very possible the mechanic i used who damaged the secondary pump has done something which has caused this…. Really appreciate any help on this!
Check the fuses for the in line and tank fuel pumps, you might be lucky.

Thanks bud, in the owners handbook I’ve found only two fuses which I think are applicable.. fuse 51 in the glove compartment (abs, dsc and fuel pump) and fuse 15 in the load space in the rear (fuel pump) do you think there should be anything else too??
 
So I’ve had the AA come out today and he checked all fuses no issues. Immediately machine says fuel pump with codes mentioned before p0191 and p0001. He says it’s for sure the fact diesel is not getting distributed and it’s to do with the fuel pump.

I’m guessing this is going to be another big expense…. So annoyed right now that I trusted the small local guy who doesn’t have a garage then going to a proper company.

In line fuel pump failure is common and may just be unlucky coincidence and nothing to do with the bloke who worked on it

Possibly, it’s just that he had damaged the secondary fuel pump and there was a gold screw that he’ needed to replace.. for that he told me he took the whole pump out apparently. I was at work at the time so I had limited knowledge.
