Hi
I am the emotionally and financially scarred owner of a D2 landmark edition built may 2004. Acquired Feb 18 so far new 3/4 chassis so all going tip top so far. Discovered the shock absorber mounts were full of filler (oh yes). Had these strange things in the boot no idea what they are can anyone shed any light? Thanks [GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Lucky you, previous owner(s) have left them with you! I think the way the chocks revolve around the clips and then fit so nicely against the tyres is brilliant. Just hope there is enough oil in the jack and the locking wheel nut socket is not split.

Thinking about it, it should have been obvious because, in the bag, should have been the stupid plastic tool for removing the cover to the locking wheel nuts, as well as the click-together jack handle, the socket and the wheel brace. If the chocks were the only thing in the bag, then I can understand why you wondered what they are!

Right, have you found the jack? Under the battery cover, lying on its side? Any old bar of the right diameter/length can be used to raise the jack and a pair of pliers can be used to undo the valve but make sure it has enough hydraulic oil in it.

As for the security nuts, you either have them or you don't. If you don't then no real problem but check you don't have one on the spare. If you do then you need to hammer on a ring or socket that is a tight fit over the security nut to remove it. It'll then be useless for its intended purpose but you can buy a set of five plus a socket over the internet.
