Oh wise oily people, who can identify this connector, it’s sat on top of the near side headlight.

Rear washer works fine!

I thought of head lamp levelling but it’s only on one side so I ruled that out!

Nope, press the button and it makes a noise, so the horn is connected.

I was thinking of prewiring for factor front dog lights but it’s in the wrong position to my thinking.

My first thought was headlight levelling but it could be pre wiring for an electric cooling fan, what engine and year is it on.
I would double check the other side there may be another tucked away behind inner wing, in which case it will be levellers. One of mine stopped working and you could hear it constantly trying to turn so I disconnected it and tucked the lead away behing somewhere and I cant see it now.

Yup!!
It is definitely a connector!
Query solved.
Or ...
Get a meter between the contacts and then turn everything on, see if you get any readings, if not, then check all your fuses and do it again.
If there is still nothing, it would appear that it may be redundant.:cool:

Hi Jim, is yours an XS or standard and is it a TD5?
I have just tested every switch and everything works! No volts on it it but if it’s a prewire for an option I guess the relay would not be there!

It's an TD5 CSW XS, but mine didn't come with aircon, maybe something to do with the aircon compressor?

More likely aircon cooling fans elec socket rather than compressor,
I have just found this photo of an alarm battery back up socket,

I think Scooby22 wins, the right colour cables, size, connector and location. Well that answers that question.
Jim, does yours have a factor fitted alarm?
