Hello lads 'n' lasses.

get the 'underpigeon' thing - rooney, terry, and all the other ****ers associated with blinged-up footballers play-things(Onyx, Khan etc etc).

nothing more than window-dressing for its own sake.

I was wondering if the old-school cars (chevy-engined with up-rated brakes, etc) were held in the same contempt as the blingers in this parish?

I do hope not - they are unbelievably good to drive, and totally understated.

Below is a picture of my old discovery 570HSi - it was a fantastic car - fast, smooth, understated and more economical than a Rover V8-engined equivalent.

i am sure the same was true of the Range Rovers of that era.

I am hoping that there is a distinction here between some Overfinches and the ridiculous Underpigeons you all seem to hate so much.

Oh yes!!

We all love a bit of good engineering. The mechanical work done by the likes of Overfinch can be magnificent (I'm not so sure about some of the interiors).

I've seen your thread on your V8 transplant into a Fender and, for work of that quality, you're even excused for driving a trattor !!!

Overfinch is for all things good....

UNDERPIGEON is for all things ****e.....

not all overfinches are all that..some just had a dash upgrade, some just suspension etc..
.i know a man with a yard full of rrc's.. overfinchs sitting there with them in the scrap pile..
he hates them..
now me i regard them as being one of the better conversions..though the 350'ci didnt have good enough brakes..(imho)

any new projects on the go vic?
