G'day Folks,

I was wondering if anyone here knows what the colour of the under tub strengtheners is meant to be.

Someone over on the series 2 club forum thought they were meant to be galvanised. Unfortunately with my remaining parts it is hard to tell cos they're so rusty...

I'm talking about this bit =>

AFAIK, they are galvanised, if you want to do a proper job, you could overpaint before fitment.

Mine have big holes all along the length and were an advisory on the MoT in 2008 so no chance of repair!!!. I use POR 15 on any metal (I did a cast iron victorian lamppost about 6 years ago and still looks like new) which is brilliant, grey undercoat and a black topcoat so easy to see what you have/haven't done. Should last 25 years easy then.
