If the car was towed, then transfer box neutral should have been selected. If this was not done, the auto box may have been destroyed as the oil pump would not have been running. If this has happened, you may have a case against the AA. No vehicle with an auto box can be towed with drive wheels on the ground.Had my timing belt done at a garage, destroyed my turbo,had a rigid tow to a garage by the AA. Off the road and in the air for around six weeks, now I can't engage drive either in all auto mode or in manual mode I get reverse but not drive, can anyone help please.
Do you mean the auto box was in neutral or the transfer box? If it was the auto box, suspect the gearbox is shagged. If the lever is stiff it may not be selecting correctly.Thank you everyone for your replies, the vehicle was in neutral being towed and the turbo was destroyed by a tool lodged in the turbo which they said was not one of theirs.
