Evening all.

I've watched numerous YouTube videos and read several forum threads and there appears to be some conflicting info. The general idea seems to be to put several coats on, waiting one hour between coats. The problem appears to be that the mix becomes too thick/sticky after one hour.

So, do you make a new mix per coat or put the coats on in shorter intervals. I'd love to hear from anybody with first hand experience.

Photos and general comments welcomed too.

The Raptor stuff is interesting and certainly quite cheap for what it is, though I would like to know how well it stands up to abuse.

From my own research I have found that the raptor stuff is not as strong or as robust as lineX, according to various sources. Though without testing it personally quite hard to tell.

im about to start doing my disco 1 with upol raptor so ill post comments when done

Judging by your profile photo, I think your definition of abuse and my definition of abuse are two different things. I've seen several examples close up and it's plenty tough enough for me.

Possibly yes... though like line x once its on, its on and its not coming off. So I want to choose the right product first time round.

By abuse I mean if i spray my rock sliders with it, they will hit trees, rocks and all sorts and after 6 months it starts coming away thats a poor show.

I been sampling this for a while m8...I found 2 coats enough... 3 the most.....U can also use a 1.8 nozzle gravity spread, gun for a much smoother texture... I did the roof through spray gun....using this you get a lot more coverage....may be double......
For the real texture use the Schultz

....Schultz gun.......... I keyed the side 24 hours after painting and didn't mark it ...it so tough....
This is not a stone chip.....

I found just below 4 bar was good as any lower splashed unevenly ....
1 medium to light coat .... I start from bottom to top on every panel......leave just over an hour b4 recoating or it will bloom....I dried in my spraybooth for 20 mins......
Don't force dry infra red or heat guns.it only skins it over...

Sorry in advance if highjacking your thread,

Can you buy Linex to spray at home easily? Had a look on their site and eBay and couldn't see anything.

As far as I know, you cant. Has to be done by them at their centers. Though i have got a ball park price list which is very reasonable imo
