Space man
I've got a standard 300TDI with 205 16's does anyone know what tyre sizes the standard wheels will safely go up to please ?

:D Damn I was going to say that.

I have 235/85 r16 's on my unmodded disco 1:D

there's a clue anyway

235 85 16 are good and they wont rub on lock either look at cooper tyres ive got some and they are the best tyres ive ever brought so far 4 other people i know have got them and they agree.

Iv'e just purchased 5x 235/70 R 16 off road tyres (colway c trax MT) @ £48.18 per tyre incl. fee deliver from 4x4 tyres.com & there fantastic!

I think you can safely go to a 85, but standard is fine @70

I had to adjust my steering stops so they didnt rub the radius arms:rolleyes:

I have the 235/70/16 insa turbo mountains on mine and they fit fine (1990 Disco). No rubbing on full lock and there not noisey on the road either. Got these cos I started green laning and there fine. I dont do any seriously muddy stuff so dont know how they would cope but make fine AT's and arn't waring out realy quick like I thought they would. Done about 5000 Miles on them now and am more than happy.

I run 245 x 70 x 16 on my v8 & they just touch the radius arms on full lock. I still need to adjust the steering lock bolts to stop this.
Apart from that, they fill the arches out a treat.
