CAN????? I put 235 85 16 tyres on D1 rims and put them on a 1999 disco without them rubbing
That is all I want to know , if anybody can tell me, please??

No. I know you are here for help. But you could help yourself and do a little research first ;) as there is a **** load of people who have owned Discovery’s.

D1 and D2 use different PCD rims and aren’t interchangeable. You can buy aftermarket steel rims for a D2 however as well as factory offerings and stock alloys.

As for the tyre. It depends. They won’t fit stock. But if you are going to mod, then sure.

Hello all

Yes you can fit these, I have them on my Discovery.

Depends, is you 1999 Discovery a very late D1 or an early D2?

Yes they will rub, you need to adjust the lock stops and then test them under articulation to see how much body work needs trimmed.

Hello mate

It is a late DI

Do I still need to trim the body, where exactly does it be trimmed

Rear wheel arch at the back, measure 50mm in from the fold and 250mm up from the bottom at an angle to meet the edge of the arch and scribe a line and cut that triangle out, job done, if you've got front valance on your bumper they will foul that also so bin that an all good.
