ive got a couple off big road trips coming up and was thinking about swapping my maxxis ats for something more tarmac tread trye
what do you recommend i want quite running and fuel saving
cheers

Surely the cost of the tyres will outweigh any benefit on fuel saving. They're hardly special tracks are they.

I think he's referring to the poo coloured paint job in your avatar...

If it's only short term usage I'd consider buying a set off eBay and then sell them on when you're done, I bought a set for my tratter for £68 ran them for 8 months and sold them for £108 :D

+1 for Grabber AT,s. Done 5K+ so far on mine, doing Scotland again on Monday so thats a few more.

The noise doesnt bother me now Ive fixed the speakers and put in a DAB/USB radio :)

Also despite the F economy rating, I still get around 33 MPG on runs.

We've been very pleased with the set of Nexen Roadian A/T that we fitted a good while ago, about 3-1/2 years now.

Been good on almost everything, including a lot of heavy towing round Holland and Spain each year.

A new set is on the shelf, but these have lasted and lasted. 255/65R16.
