hi i have been offered 225 55 x 17 nankang sv2 tyres for my freelander are they suitable.

They are if yer got 17" wheels!

Seem to get reasonable reports for use on hard packed snow and slush, but....
not too great in the wet though.

If they're cheap enough......can't be toooooo bad.

thanks for that. yes a good price but i have to travel from edinburgh to inverurie to collect them.

Two hours 45 minutes tops - each way.

I hope you're getting 4 of them, to make the journey worth while.

I'm just 20 minutes away from there and I've got 4 Michelin Synchrones for sale cheap - they are good in the snow and would last longer.
