hello just wondering if anyone can tell me which size of tyres are the bigger ?
235 85 16 or 265 75 16 ?
in my eyes the first should be the bigger is this correct ?
im wanting the tallest to up the gearing on my landie .

What do you mean by bigger?? Wider or taller? the first one's are marginally taller but .8mm is not really worth worrying about

.....235 85 16 will be the highest ........... otheres will be wider.

They're pretty much exactly the same diameter (height) but 265s are approximately 3cm wider, and have a much chunkier look.

Errr, what's the biggest tyre I can fit on my landy? Will my 300 Tdi run on veggie oil? and where can I go for cheap insurance on my landy please? :behindsofa:

A quick Google search would have given you the answeer but hey ho

This is how you figure it out if you dont want to use a calculator or whatever...

Lets take 235 85 16. The first number is obviously the width, the second number is the height. The height is the % of the width...so...85% of 235 is 199.75. And for the 265 75 16, the height (75% of 265) is 198.75.

So if you go for the 265s when infact what you want is height, it would be a waste of time. I am assuming with the 265s you intend to get, you are not running a standard Series engine!

i asked on here because i thought i might get help instead of going through google . i asked the question because my mates 265 75 16 looked bigger than my other mates 235 85 16's so why does everyone give anyone a hard time when they ask a question ? or is that just me ? as for this been posted before how do i know if ive not seen it ????????

Did you do a search in the search section on LZ for tyre size answers all your question . If you can do a flea bay search why cant you do a LZ search?ffor what you are looking for:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:
