Can I put 70 inch tyres on a disco 2 without a lift?

235/70/16 is standard size for a disco 1 so I guess they'll fit the 2.

Great - I've 255/65/16 on now and I was going to save for the lift I wanted before getting the tyres. However with this weather and road tyres - nothing more embarassing that being in a landrover that wont grip...

According to ebay 255/65/16 is the standard size for disco 2's which is almost identical to 235/70/16 on the disco 1, have a look at this if you're unsure
