Another vote for General Grabber AT here.

I've had AT2s on mine (on 18s) for a few years and they are very good in all conditions. Very quiet on tarmac too.

Just replaced the fronts with the new AT (due to punctures not wear) and despite looking milder seem even better offroad than the AT2s.

Although good in snow, I have come a little unstuck on ice and very compacted snow so you still need to be cautious.

Another vote for General Grabber AT's.
Been on for 2 years and can't fault them.

General Grabbers all day long.
I had At2 on the p38 on 16" wheels...super.
AT2 no longer available so AT 18" on the L322.

AT2 no longer available? Says who?

Just been speaking to General's chaps in the US and they told me that they are still being manufactured and that they will still be available for the foreseeable future in the UK.

But that's only by nature of badly worded legislation, the AT was the response the new EU drive-by noise regulations for tyres, but it transpires the old tyres are still legal due to some technicality or other so they make both. But believe me from my experience of both types, the ATs are better, much quieter and better on mud and snow than the AT2s - dunno how they've managed it with an apparently less aggressive profile - but they have.

general grabers are very good tires but i have an old set of 16" wheel with a set of old dumper tires (still about 30mm of tread on) ready for the snow
i go up into the back of nowere on the penines regular so when it snows, drifts of 2-3 feet is not uncommon, and if you get stuck up there you're on your own

Fook this has been :deadhorse::deadhorse: A good AT with lots of Tread, Slow down, give extra time where you are going and don't drive like a fookin idiot. 4x4's are better, but will get you stuck worse than a car will when it does happen:rolleyes:
