At the moment I have standard steel Landrover wheels with Michelin 7.50 x R16 XPC, I would like to change the wheels to Deep Dish Alloys but keep the Michelins for a while at least would they fit?

I think the alloys would be too wide, but im not totally sure.
It would also be more economical for you to purchase a set of alloys with tyres and sell your steels with the michelins than to start swapping tyres around.

Too true, i was looking at getting some sensible diameter tyres for my 15" wheels, ended up working out cheeper buying a new (well good second hand set) set with rubber on.
