At the minute my 90 CSW is on 235-85-16's on boost alloys...Can anyone tell me what changes I could expect if I replace them with 235-70-16's..Thanks Fellas.:confused:

My 110 has 235/70/16's on at the moment and i will be changing to 85's as soon as it is rebuilt as they look far to small even on standard suspension, my speedo also reads about 8mph slower than actual speed.

Your speedo or gearbox drive is fooked then.

With those tyres it should read a higher speed than if fitted with 235/85's.

I have yet to meet a Defender that is actually travelling faster than the speedo reads leave aside one that does 8mph more at an unknown speed? 10mph/60mph???

As always the level of confusion on here when it gets more technical than putting air in the tyres shines through.

Had 235/70 road tyres on the 110 for a while till i got some new boots for it.

Compared to the 265/75 mud tyres I took off it gave better road manners, used less fuel and would cruise at around 60mph. Were still capable but there were quite a few hairy moments while laning when the back end attempted to overtake the front.

That said they looked fookin stupid (possibly not as bad on a 90) and I lost a lot of ground clearance when out playing.
