Hi
2001 Discovery 2 TD5 fitted with original 16" Polar ( RRC000040MNH ) alloy rims which I believe are becoming porous. I changed out the old set of remoulds last October for a set of 235-70-16 Grabber AT2s and still notice pressure loss over a period of a week some of the tyres can go from 38 psi to 25psi but not even over the 4 tyres, I have removed tyres and immersed in tank of water but cannot see any bubbles. My question is do I need to get them refurbished or can I stick tubes in them?

Cheers C

have you asked your local autocentre to seal the bead they use an RTV sealant on the bead of the tyre and sometimes this works.

Is the wheel in shape? sometimes a wheel that has been used over bumpy terrain can get a flat spot

corrosion in the bead of the tyre? as with option 1

If not tube them!

Yes I tried removing tyre and cleaning corrosion with a wire brush and applying lots of bead sealant but to no avail. Just wasnt sure if these rims / tyres are compatible with tubes as this would be the cheaper option.
