does the type of tyre you are using effect road/tyre noise.
I have just brought my first Discovery that is running Goodyear AT tyres.
The noise is at its worst when traveling around 55mph and seems to come more from the back wheels.

Some tyres do suffer from tyre noise, Goodyear are good tyres so I would think any noise from them would be no more that other major AT tyres on the market.
So perhapes it's not the tyres if the sound is from the back wheels only.
I run with Goodyear tyres but they are just standard all weather road tyres so I don't hear a thing.:D

I experienced a likewise problem .

Running Goodyear Wrangler M.S. The noise started at about 28mph,and drove me round the bend. It was adroning sound, and the cause was ridges on the front top face of the tyre.Put it on a rolling road and it was as clear as night follows day.Seeing was believing.
They were down to about 2mm tread,so I changed them for new tyres and have never looked back.

I can now drive in peace .:):):):):):)

Utter bliss.
