Op - was only Having a joke.
There will be bushes or control arms worn causing it most likely silly size wheels or not. You’ve got their attention now so you have the best of help :)

seeing this is my first disco
Will probably be your last. Your worksmanship has made it better than it left the factory.

To be honest I didn’t really give it much thought , seeing I was going to fit new genuine arms and the rest of it was sound

thks for the heads up as seeing this is my first disco didn’t know if that was normal or not, now know it’s not and good there now removed

as always appreciate the feedback

Hiya . How's tricks? That looks like a lot of work! That D3 of yours is becoming top candidate for the Trigger's Broom award. Is there an original part left on it :D:D:D

hiya , not too bad thks,

indeed was a right sod replacing the wishbone arms , when I bought the disco knew the suspension had been neglected but of course were a few surprises , but well worth it as the difference in ride quality was like night and day

toughest job was sorting out bodges that were done by previous owners

also Wonder how many tell there insurance company when different size tyres are fitted

just thought the op having a 2008 RRS TDv8 think thats a 3.6 not a 3 litre

It is a 3.6L V8 diesel. Quite a nice engine imo too.

must admit if I ever got a petrol would get the jag 4.4 V8 , supposed to extremely good engines plus , also as I do a lot of sort journeys think I’ll go for a petrol , always wanted a V8
;)

not many V8 D3 around though and they didn’t fit the 4.4 in the D4s , trouble is dread to think what the ins is for the L322 4.4

4.4 jag engine is indeed fantastic.
I doubt the insurance would be that much different tbh if all other factors were the same.

cheers , have indeed heard good things about those engines , looked on go compare , mines ins group 38 , 4.4 is group 43 , but alas some web sites class them differently

just done a quote for a 2008 L322 fully comp 4.4 jag engine £ 512 per year

How does that compare with what you have now?

Wow that is more than double what I pay for the Golden Girl! I'm off to check what mine would be :D

I know premiums have gone up significantly in the last 6-9 months.
Wife's car was over 150 quid dearer this time.

hiya

mines £400 , that also includes , full breakdown cover, legal cover, key loss, protected 8 x years ncb

That’s with A plan, disco is parked on drive as I know that can make a difference

Ins has dropped each year an average of £50

so imagine adding everything in , the L322 would be roughly £600 per year , alas know the higher model u go the more expensive it is, mines a base model and know the HSE would be more expensive . Assume even a base model ranges would be highly spec as standard

also don’t know if the 3.6 V8 Diesel engine is any good or be cheaper with ins, think that was made by Ford

I've checked the 2008 V8, Vogue SE,with everything included, coming back as £271.27. Although I do have over 20yrs NCB. Golden Girl is under £200. Currently with SAGA. Went to them , as soon as I could, as they had been popping up for a few years, even though they wouldn't cover me under 50.
Oh and that's with £100 excess. :)
