Also pre-fill the oil filter before fitting it. This reduces oil pressure build up times, while the filter is filling.
That's a brilliant idea. I already do the same for my other car, Chrysler Grand Voyager in addition to spreading some oil around the filter's o-ring before tightening.
I used to do that until the filter worked its way loose on my L Series. The KV6 is a tad smoother than my rattly old "characterful" oil burner though
Thank you once again...Since the lower the 'winter' number (hence the 'W'), the easier the engine will turn over when starting in cold climates, in here especially; I would use 5w/40 fully synthetic oil instead of using 10w/40 semi-synthetic one...Use a 5w40 or 0w40 in full synthetic
