Do not need proper off roaders like the grabbers on my Series3, mostly road work but Alpine roads and a lot of towing.
Who would recommend what?

Any all season/winter, all terrain that meets budget, you're not doing 60mph+ some might be noisier than others but generally you gets what you pays for

If you going Alpine you may need chain as well as a lot of the Alpine roads in winter are 'with chains only' roads, when i lived in Kiel in North Germany we had summer tyres and winter tyre on a set of wheels ready to go , generally M&S, but a lot of other had spike tyres, I not sure but they may be banned now, as the roads suface at the traffic light got torn to bits by all the Merc taxis taking off

I live up here since 30 years so I’m used to and have chains, spikes are forbidden in Switzerland and if it gets real bad up here I use the series 3.
Im expecting around 200 francs per tyre so it might just stretch to grabbers.

I'm running Goodyear all terrain adventures on mine, never really tested them off road but always felt very planted on the road and aren't too noisy.
