As it says on the tin. My 2000 Td5 Disco has two, inch and a half? square box section under the front bumper pointing forwards, about a foot and a half apart. I assumed these were for a Bull Bar or A Bar to fit on, but on looking closer they have plastic/rubber stops inserted into the ends. Also there are no holes drilled into them, so it's doubtful they are were for the BB/A Bar.

What other use could they be for fellow Disco'ites. Anyone come across the same.

Sounds like the sub frame for the front mount tow bar that Watling Engineers sell. I have this. It has a central receiver and an off set one. There is a hole for a locating pin on the side for the actual hitch part though. You say they don't have any holes. Could the holes be obscured by the rubber plugs? My rubber plugs have Watling embossed on them.

Front towbar definitely, see pictures.

The standard bar has one socket, usually central, then you can have additional sockets on the left or right. We have centre and left sockets.

For reversing a big trailer or the drawbar trailer, a front towbar is magic, especially if you use the offset socket so you get a decent view down the side.
