Just about to swap my front dampers so thought I'd replace the turrets for heavy duty open ones and turret rings. Before I order from Paddock Spares at £53 does anyone no any reason not to or any better value turrets?

They are the powder coated version. You would be better with galvanised ones (same price). If you want shiny yellow then just paint over the glav.

Turrets don’t really need to be “heavy duty” as such.

However the open design is easier to clean and keep mud out of. Personally prefer the Gwyn Lewis design. Even more open.

Are you wanting to off road your Vehcile? If so, highly worth spending some time looking at suspension options. Longer shocks give potentials for more travel. But you’ll need a different height turret to match. Plus extended brake lines and maybe different springs. Some turrets have relocation cones built in as well. But are only needed if you are going to generate enough travel that the spring dislocates.

Get some turret rings as well, you'll more than likely snap the studs when you remove old turrets. About £12 for galv ones with new nuts

Ive just read your original post properly, ignore me!

It's my daily drive so 95% on road.I'm not too fussed by heavy duty but I like the open design. Terrafirma pro sport standard height dampers going on. Shame Gwyn Lewis don;t do them in yellow.

Powder coating is rubbish,as soon as there is a scratch or split water gets behind and the item rots faster than if it were bare metal.
