Will look into getting a bush to drill them out straight, will try an easy out but very highly doubt that will work as the others were serious sodds to shift (3ft extension bar). maybe by drilling the core out it may release some tension, and the drill might warm it all up a little but im not very hopeful on this one. one way to find out i spose!

Bought some proper cobalt drills yesterday, borrowed an angle drill and went for it. Seems to have worked, couldnt get all the old stud out but it tapped up back to 8mm fine, so sod it! Milled up the manufold, and now all sorta fits together! will see if it holds up over time.

interesting you mention the heads shouldnt be skimmed? new manufactuing for us, seems like throw away parts are creeping in....
