I have oil in my turbo output pipes, but there is very little or no blue smoke out the back. Is it time to worry yet or is this normal for a 16 yr old disco (300tdi)
Got car two weeks ago, underneath for service and see front x-member oiled and dripping Cleans it off, looks like its coming from intercooler Off with the I/C wash out hoses etc, refit, bottom pipe where the EGR pipe was removed was not sealing, fixed that and tidied it all up.
Also washed out all breather pipes and thingy on rocker box, also the turbo inlet pipes.
This week i see some oil over the R/H side of engine bay, its dripped from the top I/C pipe to plenum Off comes pipe - more oil Refits with new hoseclip as the previous one was not tightening on plenum. It seems to be quite wet but as i said no real smoke to speak of, so i guess it cant be that bad.
the pipe was wet, hard to describe, probably the same sort of qty as a good squirt from an oil can? The plenum appeared clean/dry, the oil gathers around the end of the pipe fittings.
I have done about 100 miles since the first clean out.
I am hoping its normal/average as this thing is starting to give me depression now, so many faults in such a short time. I probably should have got another series 3 i think
