moral to this tale - when ever you take the fecking hoses off use new clips, they cost pennys and it just aint worth the frigging about wondering if this or if that.

because I havent replaced it yet, so I dont know if thats whats causing the loss of power :)

i hope it is though...but will have to wait has the disco has been on axle stands for a week now while I'm welding..
 
would still like to know from wreckhunter if it was actually the injection pump or lift pump...
 
It was the main injection pump,I think if it was the lift pump you'd have intermitant loss of power,hard starting + cutting out rather than a constant loss.My mates would start + run 100% but was always down on power as if the turbo wasn't fully boosting.I can't see how the changing of the turbo pipes could bring on a fuel pump problem on yours though.
