Just got my landy fixed, drove to Oxford was fine but I noticed a new and different noise coming from the turbo.

Car seemed ok though, until the drive back. Got about 30 miles before the engine warning light came on, total loss of drive, then kicked back in.

This happend about 3 times before I thought, my recoverys good i'll pull over, get trailered and have a look another day.

Got home now it wont start, tried about 4 - 5 times over the day and nothing. Somtimes it would fire up run for 2 seconds then cut out, other times wouldnt turn over.

Not totally sure where to go from here, pretty certain I need another turbo/have mine repaired.

Anyone got any ideas as the why the turbo failed in the first place?

hmmm possibly. It was starting oddly before I left.

Turning the key, the starter motor would run, but no response from anything

If it is the turbo I have a brand nw one garret so the the same as it left the factory in still in packaging for 250 pound double that on ebay

If it is electrical whats the most likely thing it would be?

Or is it better off being taken to a garage for repairs?
