bulkhead has the most adjustment but there is a little with the tub ,its best to not tighten any fastening till alll the bodies on including roof so doors can be fitted and aligned, wings should be fitted lastOk so I'm nearly ready to refit the tub back on once I finish painting it.
What advice can you give on getting it all aligned properly? Do I need to fit the doors at the same time?
Thanks.
Norrie .
JM - I have a misalignment problem since getting a new radiator mount and footwells fitted. The door is out of line hanging down about an inch off the top. Is there some way of fettling the bulkhead by loosening the main bolt at the bottom?
Thanks. I've tried to use a jack diagonally from the bottom of the seat to the bulkhead at the bottom of the windscreen. It didn't like it and the seat started to warp.If you loosen the outrigger bolts and also the bracket that attaches to the chassis with 3 slots in it you will get a bit of jiggle room, not a lot but to bring the door up a bit probably won't take a lot with that and a bit of hinge adjustment as well.
Yes but how do I tweak the bulkhead to lift the door back to true? The only adjustment on the main bolt is front to back with spacers but this is not your problem. There is some adjustment in the door hinges on the bulkhead.
Is the door just low or is it drooping front to rear?
If new foot wells and possibly pillars have been fitted then things may well have moved and bulkhead will need adjustment.
