thats it i've had enough now dont know what else to try, replaced the compressor and a suspect height sensor, still cant get the lights on the dash to go out, can do everything else with the software from storey (many thanks) just can not unlock eas or turn off extended ride height light on speedo binnacle, getting all ff's in rx buffer so i know it has initialized properly, anyone have any idea's ? I feel a coil spring conversion comming on, cant beleive i just said that lol.

i can now only think of 2 other things that may solve it,it could possibly be a faulty valve block driver unit,or it,s the main ecu itself,i personally believe it,s the ecu under the passenger seat,i think it,s faulty in some way that it won,t reset or it,s not recieving the signal to reset,im now out of ideas other than maybe trying to get hold of a good used one,or if someone is kind enough to lend you one to try

hi andy might have another ecu to try on mon or tuesday hopefully will get to the bottem of it and find out what the fault is lol, not much more to change or check.

UPDATE: Got hold of another working ecu and plugged it in same problem no change however on saturday i thought i might try my pc to see if i could unlock it but when i hooked it all up and run the program and pressed initialized in the rx buffer all i got was "PP" once and nothing else, pc has a dedicated 232 port on the back and was correctly configured in eas unlock software which i thought to be strange after all the reading i have done never seen "PP" mentioned before as a response. Any other idea's andy or anyone .

many thanks

One day maybe someone will come up with a little button on dash. When you get a N/S brake light bulb blown message you can press it and the car changes the filament. Until that day sadly no. You have to repair the fault yourself. Bugger ain't it? :p:p

Hi

RSW software unfortunately will not always pick up every fault code. Its great but I tried everything and then had to take it to the garage who sorted the problem.

As you say the raising and lowering with software works and sometimes you get sensor readings and sometimes you don't.
(Sorry Malafax and thanks for your help when I had problems)

On checking with the software after the sensors had been changed all worked fine.

Two things I would check due to the fact that it happened after the LPG had been fitted would be damaged sensors due to incorrectly jacking the car.
Lifting these incorrectly will almost certainly damage 1 or more sensors sending The software potty.

Been there done that when I had tyres changed the week after buying the car. Which is why I bought the Leads and software.

Secondly there is a connector in side panel of the passengers foot well. Take off the plastic panel and pull connector apart, this also goes black with moisture and fails to make proper contact.

Have you got the wade light on all the time?

Remember you cant take reading with the RSW kit if you have a door or boot open you need to do it whilst sitting inside or through an open window.
As the EAS is locked when a door or boot is open

You should be able to jack all wheels off the floor without damaging height sensors, if this were not so they would get damaged off road on full articulation. If jacking does damage a height sensor then the shocks are permitting overtravel.

If you don't get a reading from a height sensor then obviously there is a problem. I have never found a situation wher the RSW software does not do the business, you do however need experience to interpret what is going on just as you would with Testbook. The difference is a stealer can aid diagnosis by substituting parts to narrow down the cause.
