Just removed the discs etc from my 97 defender 130, are the inner hub bearings supposed to stay in the hub housing or on the axle as mine did? Outer ones came out easy enough.

Thanks

They're supposed to stay in the housing.

Are they tight on the axle?

I do have a wheel puller but wanted some advice before i break something again lol

Sounds to me like you need to replace the bearings as well. Once you get done pulling them I wouldn't trust them to go back in. Bearings are cheap as are seals - just do the set on both sides and be done with it.

Whenever I've seen them stick like that it's usually because they've overheated or some such - normally they should be nothiing but a slide fit on the axle stub.
