no it shouldn't raise the height
when you fit the infill plate you will want a little bracket that goes from the centre of it down to the spare wheel mount in the tub to stop the cab bouncing and clattering around, you'll be suprised how much noise that bracket stops
i drove my truckcab for 18 months or so before fitting my infill plate with just pipe lagging wedged in the gap to try to reduce the draughts. the plate makes a massive difference
