Did you get it sorted? If not Anglia Hose & Hydralic in colchester are very good...

... or you could just get a new one...

... but the old ones are built better so give them chaps a call first...

Ask around some of the local garages, they must get their jacks tested as they are classed as lifting equipment and need tested every 6 months under LOHER. Who ever tests them should be able to fix them.

I have phoned a few places but all garages do not seem to have anyone that fixes them strangely enough.

i shall test the oil levels first and if not then give the guys in Colchester a ring

thanks guys

Not true, the 6 monthly inspection (which I had yesterday) are carried out by a seperate company that just inspects, you are then given a fix it ticket and then someone else will come and fix faults...

A local tyre place I use,a few months back I had this conversation with them and they just dump em and buy cheap jap imports, because when they break its cheaper tax wise that was their take on the situation anyways.

Alot of places do now days, they aren't expensive anymore. Personally I prefer the older stuff as it is built better. We broke a bench vise and have had 4 brand new ones that have all broke various parts, in the end I got an old skool vise of eBay as the metal is better quality...

Well i have not had the chance to what with the landy deciding to be a pain! But im also going to ring the recommendations on here and see how much for a refurb anyway
