help needed please i bought parts to replace water pump plus belt and drivebelt tensioner, as the pump went .on my v8 landrover discovery 2 when we took the drive belt tensioner off the metal is all cracked were the main bolt goes in can this be replaced its bolted on to the left hand side of the engine am not sure what its called and were can i get one from tried to upload a pic to show you all but wont let me says its too big hope you can help me thanks , george

thanks thor i bought a new tensioner its the alloy plate that it tensioner screws into has all cracked and needs replacing not sure what its called thanks

no its on the left hand side of the timing cover , were i took out the drive belt tensioner the metal is all cracked were the bolt comes out of a metal plate. how do you upload a pic on here am not sure i could show you then thanks

There's a honking big cast ally bracket that the alternator and the tensioner bolts on to.

The tensioner assembly retaining bolt screws into that bracket.

Might have a good spare bracket if you get stuck.

all sorted thanks bought a snd hand one from a guy for 40 quid thanks anyway ..
