Last Saturday: in the morning a trip at Serra de Bornes. Pic-nic on the Sanctuary of Santo Ambrósio. In the afternoon a trip by the valley and visitis to the rural museum of Salselas, a museum in Romeu, seeing the olive crop followed by the visit at the olive museum at Cortiços.

I've holidayed in the silver coast area to the north of Peniche, the scenery is superb, the locals are great and the beer cheap, can't recommend it enough.

Sadly the car hire firms don't like you to go offroading in there Citroen C1 rentaboxes so a lot of the areas in the OP's galleries are off limits.

Next time I go though I am going to drive up the Duro valley (thats where the grapes for Port wine are grown) and visit Porto and some of the great port houses.
