Hello,

I need to fit a load guard between the drivers seat and the back of my 90, so basically the bit between the bulkhead and the roof.

I've had a look around and Travall Dog Guard seems quite good, and postage to Sweden seems reasonable too.

I have one question, that i've sent to Travall but figured could ask here too incase they either don't reply or don't know...

Has anyone fitted on?

The TDG1003 seems to have brackets on the bottom, and also one that attaches to the roof. Even though my defender 90 is from 92, i have a feeling i have a roof from a land rover ninety. It doesn't have the internal roof bars going from to back, which the Travall guard seems to attach to. In the manual for Travall it says that the self tapping screws for the roof bracket can be discarded if fitting to a pre 89.....but doesn't say what you do instead.

Any comments / experience welcome

I made my own to pass the test...ok it's for a 101 but that's it before final finishing I'm sure you could get/make one a lot cheaper...

Potentially I could.....however at the moment I don't have a welder, nor really the time to fabricate something myself.

As an update.....it fitted fine once they sent the fitting kit (missing from first delivery).
I even though mine is a 1992, my roof is from a ninety (as opposed to defender 90) so is missing the right place in the roof to support there.

It means it probably wouldn't withstand a significant weight hitting it, so if I was to use it as a load guard, I would need to strengthen it.

It got through the registration inspection at least.
