rangeL322

Hi Guys, New on this site and looking for advice.
I have a 02' range rover L322 TD6 Auto. and have the following problem. The wife was driving yesterday on a dual carriageway and noticed what she described as ''clutch slip'' when she got to a round about and went to pull away ''no transmission!'' and " TRANS FAIL PROG" on message display.
now we had gone through some flooding on friday night, nothing too severe about 3' at most and she was at off road height and went through slowly.
Q. could this be connected? or just bad luck?

I have a copy of rave and see that there are several solinoids on the gearbox thinking maybe could be a problem. when you start there is a slight nudge forwards as though she is in D not park when you put into D same but will not move slight noise heard from box like thrust bearing type noise although only slight.

Any ideas?

could be contaminated trans fluid id say at a guess.. and its pretty unlikely unless the breather hose has been removed or was submerged

Thanks Wilstshire I realised that after I posted and moved it to RR section.

AS I said first time on here and wasnt sure of protocols wont happen again.:)

Anyway I am Steve and I own a 2002 RR TD6 L322 First ever RR so at a loss. Im not a complete muppet when it comes to mechanics but this is new to me. Have been reading through some of the post's (well all of them) going backwards in turn.

does anyone know of an independant LR/RR mech who could come to my mates yard and do a diagnostics on my poor sick baby?

live in the west of ireland Galway

Thanks in advance

again sorry for the mistake.
