Hello.

It should say transmission oil.....

Bought new radiator in the end to go along with the new viscous fan and water pump.
Everything seems to run ok (i say with crossed fingers).
What i need to do now is refill the gearbox with oil to replace what was lost when taking out the rad.
What i need to know is.......Where is the filler plug on the gearbox i can't see it when i'm under the car?
Is it at the front (engine end)?
Is it at the back of the gearbox?
Is it on the side?
Is it on top?
There is some type of boxing out around the gearbox and i,m guessing it's behind that as nothing seems easy with this vehicle.

dipstick if you have one or side gb if no dipstick

there's a search function here on LZ most easily available if looking, & Owners Manual/RAVE/Workshop manual etc.

if you have gone so far you may as well replace the gearbox filter with a new one and all the oil. gearbox will be sweet then.

I will if i can find where to fill it.

I have looked in my manual but didn't see in there were to fill gearbox either.

Like Durim said if you have a dipstick to check your gearbox level this is the tube you use to refil it. If not the is a nut on the side of the gearbox you fill it up with the engine running until it starts to trickle out. make sure you put the plug back in before you stop the engine

Hope this helps

You will have to remove the cover. The drain is on the bottom of the sump and the filler/level plug is on the front of the gearbox sump in the same place the dipstick tube used to be attached.

Right.

I have put some oil in.
I found a plug that was hidden by the exhaust pipe.
It looks like the transfer box.

Does the main gearbox have its own oil, if so then i need to get back out there and start again.

Filler plug is at the front of the gearbox oil pan near where the bell housing connects to the box, the exhaust is nowhere near it. Drain plug is in the centre near enough of the oil pan. You have to remove the protection panel, 3 dzus fastners each side I think.
