Morning,
Shortly after I got me Landy last year I noticed some vibration nosie whilst on the overrun or when the engine started to labour.
My local Landy man assured me twas the zorst, but having had the zorst off a couple of times for various jobs this hasn't cured the problem in fact it's got worse!
So thinking it may be UJ's I fitted some new props, allowing me to change the UJ's on the old ones at a later date.
Now this seemed to improve things for a while although I think it might have been a case of the pscychology of fitting new parts making me think it was better.
So I was underneath at the weekend and noticed both diffs are now weeping!!! It still vibrates when labouring and and on the overrun, and now seems to vibrate more when pulling uphill between 50-60mph.
So do you think me transfer box is fecked, I noticed some lateral play in the shaft on the front and a fair bit of rotational, how much should there be?
Any help/advice would appreciated.

why do yer say that vic?
I've got similar problems to KTee and I have a 2" lift.

From what i have gleaned... There should be no leteral play, but some rotational play is OK.

Where are the diffs leaking? Input flange?

'ello Trewy, I've just fitted a 2" lift and have got a vibration through motor at about 50mph which seems worse on deceleration from 50mph. I have narrowed it down to change of caster angle due to the 2" lift and the new angle of the propshaft. I could change propshaft for wider angle to deal with the problem, but the caster angle would still be incorrect. So I have decided to change radius arms for caster corrected to bring the front axle back into line as it should be.

Trewy, I forgot to thank you for the leccy window diagram you posted for me, fan f**king fantastic, worked a treat. Mind you, I needed a big box to fit all them relays and fuses in, I ended up using a waterproof electrical junction box and fitted the switches in the front face. Thanks again

It's great being able to open the passenger window when you've come to a junction and realised that the side windows are totally steamed up.
You can actually see what you're pulling out in front of!

Yup, seems odd that have both started since I fitted the new props, maybe just coincidence I spose
