Had a leak from the transfer box so took it out this weekend and replaced input seal. Definately didnt disturb the seal refitting the box. Long story short there is now a leak presenting itself on the lowest stud but can't see any oil in the drain hole just above/beside it. Question is can oil leak out past the lowest stud on the forward face of the tbox??? Cheers

it could but also intermediate shaft or input seal

I do know someone ( no not me!) who has a persistent leak from intermediate seal so cleaned out void with brake cleaner and filled it full of silicone ad drove it for a year or two with no more leaks.
When he eventually took it out for other work he split them new seals and again filled the void with silicone before joining them back up.
Dont forget the cheap silicone aint much cop for use as a gasket if its doesnt smell of vinegar/acid its the cheap stuff.

I did the O ring on the front of mines intermediate shaft by freeing the transfer box and moving it back just enough that the shaft could be pushed forward enough to expose the O ring. Bit of a fiddle but saved a lot of time taking it right out.
