Hello all, just wondering if someone has any experience with this after market drive chain. Seller has no idea about brand or country of origin. I have read on another transmission expert website that aftermarket chains tend to stretch prematurely after 5000miles and come off the teeth . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Perhaps they are made of Chinese stretchy steel

Buy it, test it and report back in 5000 mls, or order one of these and wait for Rimmers to get stock again.

Mind you I've never had any problems with this type of pattern part provided it fitted correctly and the drive/driven gears aren't damaged.

I have used Autopost before and in fact bought a new short engine from them for my P38, V8 amongst other things. Apart from genuine LR stuff, they sell quality parts and have been around for years.

No affiliation to them at all...I speak as I find.

I remember when they used to be in Balham sw12 been around for ages nice people

What is / are the symptom(s) when the chain is wearing out?

Does it make a noise, what is the noise like if yes?

if you are not off road ,do this chain worn out often.

Driving the vehicle off road, is less likely to damage the chain due to the slow speed involved.

Chain stretch is more likely to be the cause, a heavy right foot, traffic light Grand Pix's, or using the vehicle as a road tug pulling heavy trailers all the time.
