i was changing the fluids yesterday anddrained the transfer box, about 500ml came out, then went to do the gearbox,i undid the filler bolt and oil came pouring out, quite a lot.So I was thinking that could a seal between thr transfer box and gearbox have failed and oil is being draw from one to the other?
i've don't a quick search and found nout on here, so if yo ucan help, cheers

if its an lt77 you need to look underneath at the join between the two boxes ,any leak is supposed to run down a little channel and onto floor to stop oil transfering, sometimes people seal with sealant between the two allowing oil to transfer, but its quite rare and should be noticeable as the two oils are so different with t/bo been ep90 and gear box red atf and thin

They are two completely seperate units so will have different quantities. Were they different colours and smells?

the fluidds in both were murky brown, but it was just that one seemed to have less than 500 mls and the other seemed to be overflowing significantly, just thought one may have got into the other.
